TURKEY WARNS ITS NATIONALS AGAINST TRAVELING TO LEBANON

The Turkish Foreign Ministry warned in a statement against its citizens visiting Lebanon unless it was absolutely necessary.

The warnings came after around 20 people including one Turk were taken hostage in Lebanon on 15 August 2012.

The Statement issued said "We are continuing efforts at multilateral level for the release of the two kidnapped citizens, according to the ministry statement. It is deemed beneficial if our citizens avoid travelling to Lebanon unless absolutely necessary".
