MITCHELL VISITS TAJIKISTAN

A statement released from Tajikistan Foreign Affairs press office said that Andrew Mitchell held talks with Tajikistan's Prime Minister Akil Akilov, Deputy Prime Minister Muradali Alimerdan and other high level officials.

The statement said further that Mitchell's visit was Britain's first visit to Tajikistan at this level.

Reportedly cooperation between the two countries and the projects conducted by Britain's financial support were taken up at the talks.

British Minister also visited Vahs district of Hatlan province to examine the projects supported by Britain.
