Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkey's main opposition CHP Leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu have expressed their condolences to the Chief of General Staff for the soldier who was killed in a terrorist ambush in Izmir's Foça town when a remote-controlled road-side bomb exploded on Thursday.

The Prme Mnistry's Pess Ofice said in a statement that Mr. Erdoğan has sent his condolences for the killed soldiers, and wish a quick recovery for the wounded.

Meanwhile, Republican People's Party (CHP) Head Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said in his message of condolence, "I wish God's mercy and grace upon our soldier Private Özkan Ateşli and I'm expressing my sympathies for his family, for the Turkish Armed Forces and the nation.

For the wounded, I wish an immediate recovery," CHP leader added.
