A blaze has broken out in the camp in Hatay's Yayladağ township where Syrians taking shelter in Turkey are accommodated.

The fire broke out at about noon hours in the TEKEL warehouses. Strong winds in the region have caused the blaze to spread. The prompt arrival of fire fighters in the area had the blaze taken under control. It has been learned that the Syrians stayed in the warehouses until very recently.

An investigation is now underway into the cause of the fire.
