YILMAZ HOLDS CONTACTS IN TUNISIA

Minister Yılmaz held talks with his Tunisian counterpart Jameleddine Gharbi.

Both Ministers said they hoped to strengthen bilateral relations.

Yılmaz who described the Tunisian Revolution as a historical event said "The revolution in Tunisia by all means will play a leading role both in the political field and in the economic field. We consider Tunisia's success as our success. This is why we are here with a large delegation".

Meanwhile Tunisian Regional Development and Planning Minister Jamaladdin Garbi said Turkey-Tunisian relations continued strengthening after the revolution.

Yılmaz attended " Economic Perspectives in Africa: Promoting Youth Employment" meeting in Tunisia.

Minister Yılmaz pointed out that development improved society's life standards.

Meanwhile EU Special Representative for the Southern Mediterranean region Bernardino Leon said Turkey served as a model in the field of development.
